Dr. Dans is a native of California and attended UC Davis on a Regents Scholarship where he majored in Biochemistry. He then obtained a scholarship to attend New York University (NYU) School of Medicine to earn a combined MD/PhD. His PhD research was conducted at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and related to skin cancer, skin development and blistering diseases. Dr. Dans completed his internship in internal medicine at NYU and his residency in dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (see link). Dr. Dans is on staff at California Pacific Medical Center and also serves as a clinical instructor of dermatology at UCSF, where he supervises and teaches medical students and residents at San Francisco General Hospital. Dr. Dans has published numerous scientific and medical articles and book chapters related to skin disease and treatment.
Mark Reisman, MD
Dr. Reisman has been working part time at San Francisco Dermatology since 2016, after retiring from Kaiser in Oakland. He also teaches dermatology to UCSF medical students and residents, primarily at San Francisco General Hospital. He has many years of experience in all aspects of general dermatology.
